Lights in the bathrooms

A really good idea. Since we have a teardrop trailer we are dependent on the camp ground bathroom and shower facilities. Our last trip up to Lake Superior Provincial Park we encountered facilities with yellow bug lights and a Lot less bugs.
Do they work? . There was a substantially lower number of dead and flying insects.

Yellow lights don't get rid of every bug but they do help. Even when I was a child, my parents used them. There would be maybe a couple of bugs near the yellow light; but, where the inside white light shown out the front window, there'd always be 20 or more bugs.

I thought that's why camper "porch lights" usually come with amber lenses. (The ones we bought for our teardrop have two sets: amber and clear.)

Of course, in some places, they may have forgotten to tell the bugs they're not supposed to like yellow lights...

Bugs do not see yellow light as well as light in the more blue end of the spectrum. So yes, yellow lights can help keep the area around the yellow light more bugfree. Just hope someone else nearby is running sa non-yellow light as the bugs will be drawn there more than to your yellow.
