Big yellow sign on new forks camp ground on receratuon.gov fully still stayes the camp ground is still closed to crona virus .and it fully states they have already refunded all reservation fees for this site...you can't even get in the sites fully locked down to covid.....slow go to recreation. Gov and see for yourself..normaly opens may 21st but the sites got a big crona warning closer sign on it as off today may 19th...they fully state that will should have got his fees back and all reservations for this site are cancled..

Yelowstones now officall open today under limited resteictions...they say traffics backed up a mile at the west gate and facebook posts yeaterday report no camping allowed yet.slow

No refund yet Let's wait till May 21, scheduled opening date, before we throw the baby out with bathwater. Or maybe we should wait till July?

I just read a report that camp grounds in Illinois are opening with full facilities the first of June. This is a very repressive state, so if we are opening I'm sure Wyoming will be open, certainly by July. So make your plans to join us at New Forks Group site in Pinedale.

Warning on fleabook today is pinedale is puting out to take crona precautions due to respiratory deases and high altitude issues and pinedale has no hospital of any sort..so if you do come to pinedale make sure you don't get sick while at new forks..slow.

Hey Will, can you direct me to more detailed info about Walk the Winds? A web site perhaps or past years event info? I'm assuming it's usually very warm, but, I'm just a stinkin midwesterner with no out west experience.

It's a big trip for me and I was originally thinking of an early fall trip out that way, but, if the heat won't kill me maybe I'll look at this trip.

Hi TimC, you are welcome to come on out. It is warm during the day but cool at night. 7800 feet elevation. Scroll on down in North Central for pictures ,directions and such. 2012 to present except 2017 . Lots of info over the years..You might get in touch with Woodbutcher, he is thinking of bringing a group from Illinois and Iowa.

I see some jackets on in the evening for the lantern light. I'm all about cozy cool nights! I can stand heat during the day as long as I get to sleep cool!

As long as you pack for three seasons you will be fine. I've been to this gathering twice before and sleeping has always been comfortable.

You cant even get in the camp ground the national Forrest has it fully closed......
