Our 2nd camping trip. 3 days of fun on Nebo Loop.
On father's day, me and my dad caught 5 fish each. Good day.
Explored another campground on the way out. lots of shade there.

Modstock, Howdy;

Beautiful way to spend a weekend. Have ya tried Gooseberry Res.
up on the Wasatch Plateau above Fairview ? I used to go up there
when I lived in Mt. Pleasant.

Thanks. I've seen it while exploring Skyline Drive but haven't gone down to it.
We stayed at Cleveland lake and fished most of the lakes around there except Gooseberry and Grassy lakes. Need to go back.

Looks like a nice camp trip. I head out again on next Tuesday. Can't wait to get back out and away from people!

Have fun on your trip. Jealous.

Trying to button everything up before our next trip.
The medicine cabinet seems like it needed attention.
Drilled a few small holes and used elastic cord to help keep it closed and things in place.

During the last trip, we had to run into town for an item and picked up a 3 pack of puck lights. Had one already, we put over the cooktop.Image

Last year I built the trail benders 8x10 awning for the jeep. Took it off before winter and it's sat in the garage since.

Thinking it was too big, I almost sold it.
I decided to shorten it down to a 6x8 so it's not sticking out like a sore thumb.

Went camping over the weekend. Spent 4 days in Fish lake, UT.
With the new cat installed the jeep did better.

Max had a great view out the back door.
Lucky dog.
Stars were pretty awesome that night.

Next day we explored the trail up to the Fish lake hightop. 11,400ft.
Weather changed every 5 minutes. Most of the time it was trying to rain.
Came back to camp ate dinner and smores.

Day 3 .
It was raining most of the day so, we took a cruise through hwy 25 around the mountain range.
Lots of green to take in. From marshes to Johnson's lake, Zeds meadow and Mill meadow lake.
Back to camp for the final night. Luckily weather cleared and was able to get more star pics.

Oh yeah, that is beautiful country. Glad to see you are gettin out there. 11400 ft. is way up there. Makes you tired pretty quick. A bad cat will definitely cost you a bunch of power. And if you are pullin a load at altitude, forget about it. Sounds like you are gettin it squared away, that's good.
Is that dog wearing a hoody? Cool. 8) Looks like a great way to spend a weekend.
Good on ya.

Yeah it's a hoodie. Found it online.
Since we've built the new trailer, he likes to go inside and go to bed early and let's us chill by the fire.

The new cat did bring back some power and dosent fall flat on its face every tiny hill.
Still a 6cyl though but major 8% grades we held it in first gear, foot barely on the gas at 3,300 rpm's, 25mph, trans/engine temps good. It would hold 2nd gear but things start heating up
I think I'll replace the fuel pump soon but not expecting much gains. Keeping it reliable is my main concern.
Already cut a hole in the floor for a quick pump swap.

It feels like my aero improvements have helped on the highway. The bug line is 4" down from the top but it's also along the side 2-3".

I was looking at those "Areo Tabs" online.
Has anyone on here used those ?

Maybe I could use those on the front wind deflector to help break up the air over the V-nose.

(Air Tabs is the proper spelling).

Modstock, Howdy;

Yea, Don (aka flboy), has glued a set on his. He's doing a long trip right now but
will most likely give us a Road Report when he gets a chance.

Today I was able to get the trailer weighed.
I left our normal stuff that stays in permanently like chairs, canopy, cookware, spare tire, etc.
It was cool seeing the fleet of trucks at my dad's work.

The trailer got a wash today, amazing how much ash settled on it from all the fire's around (mostly California).

While I was hooked up I decided to hook up the power wire on the 7way connector.
Now the factory dome light works. Yay.

Want to go camping soooo bad. ImageImageImageImage
