Another 3 way switch ?

When wireing a 3 way swith on the same circut as an outlet downstream from the switch will it affect the outlet when the switch is in the off position? Just wondering I started my wireing today Yeah :)

Oops I guess the outlet is upstream from the lights and switchs.

If the outlet(s) are upstream (closer to power source) the 3 way switch has no control over outlet.... IF the outlet is downstream (after 3 way switchs) it will be controlled as if were another lamp or device on a switch...

It's upstream and that's what I've been hoping to hear. I've been serching my books at home and on line and I couldn't find that covered. Thanks for the info. Scott :thumbsup:
