Switch panel & lighting opinions & thoughts needed.

What do you all think about using this as a main switch panel?

We'd of course re-label the switches to match interior, exterior and galley. I like the battery gauge (we can monitor both the battery on the tow vehicle, and the one exclusively for the teardrop). The lighter plug can be used for an electric blanket, laptop computer, or whatever. I also like the fuses in case our load gets high.

I'm considering these lights for the interior & galley (undecided on the exact one depending how the switches get handled).
I like this one as an exterior courtesy "porch" light, and it's waterproof:

These next two depend on personal preference as far as the look goes I guess:

I like the idea of this white LED light bar as subtle, interior lighting under the interior shelf or cabinet, but it's a little bit more expensive of an option:

Image$39.99 - 10", $49.99 - 22"

What do you folks forsee as positives or negatives in using these items? The price doesn't seem too unreasonable compared to some of the other LED fixtures I've been finding, and I think something designed for a boat might be more sturdy because it's designed to be in the weather. I'm mostly looking for thoughts on how these items might compare to the type of lighting you have on your teardrops and your installation experience. My husband is an automotive electrial specialist, so the technical aspect isn't an issue. I want to make sure we don't over light the teardrop, but again not miss a spot where lighting is really useful.
Can you share your knowlege?

edited to add my name because it's helpful to know who's asking the question!

The 2 dome lights you posted are the same. I posted a pic in the other thread:
http://tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?t=12239
from Boater's World, where I bought mine. Although mine look like the upper ones, the current pic from Boater's World is the lower one.

To mount them, you drive screws into the bezel then install the light puck into it. The screws are hidden behind the light. I had to drill out the counter sink because my screws wouldn't sit flush enough for the light to screw in correctly. It was kind of a pian because you have to deal with the wires also. The one with the outer bezel is probably much easier to install since the screws are exposed.

I was wondering about that. Thanks for the feedback. I like the white bezel on that one a bit better than the inset one anyway.

Teri, Even though they are spendy I added them to my favorites for my next build, they are beautiful.

We have two led light bars one in the TV area & another in the center opening at the headboard cabinet and we use them more than all the other lights. It was a fluke that I found them even used for $1 plus shipping on EBay. I like the puck LED lights as I keep banging my forehead into mine :O . The regular 12 volt bulbs are so bright in a tear but come in handy when looking for something or showing the tear. Thanks for posting all those LED lights, Danny

I happened to come across those light while shopping this weekend. They look like they'd work well, but I really don't want to hassle with AAA batteries (or the re-charging of them either). I'd like the tow vehicle to charge the Optima battery we'll be using and go that route. The ones you mentioned would be good to have on board as reserve lights though.

Hey Teri, you cant do any better than using the optima battery with LED lights you'll be able to stay in the tear may hours with the lights on. I usually just need a few minutes of light at a time after setting by the campfire and having a few brews and some fine dining, all the light in the world wont do me any good after a few minutes of settling in. :P randy
