Final Schematics! Please have a look!

Hello,

Spent the last week or so planning the electrical system in my tear, I'm planning on installing the 12vdc myself, but the 240v Mains will be installed by a professional, who will also have a look at my 12v system and make sure it is correctly connected. The final (i hope!) schematics is below. Please note the trailer lighting system will be on a different system powered by the car, which I plan to keep completely seperate from the tear electrics, unless I install a "S" socket for charging the tear on the move. Any comments you have with it would be appeciated.

Thanks to the designer of the original plan - much appreciated. I have also put in a distribution box to simplify things a little.

Looks good to me. You may want to add a 12V outlet in the cabin. I usually use mine for a plug in reading light.

Yup, you're right. I looked at the schematic and knew that one was missing, when I clicked over to post reply, I forgot which one. It's the galley outlet that you are missing. You are already installing a mains in both places, why not put a 12V outlet (or two) there also.

Yeah I agree, the original galley 12v outlet was modified into the 12v Pump power socket and I forgot to put the galley sockets back on!
I actually planned on charging mobile phone on a small shelf on the front wall, along with storage for watch, wallet etc...

The one thing I would change is to move the battery charger “red +” wire between the master on off switch and the master fuse! Just in case the charger would get a short will driving down, the road the fuse will protect the charger from starting a fire.

OOPS saw one other thing! You need a safety ground for your 240 v ac outlets!

The other thing you might consider is putting another GFCI Before the charger. You can plug your charger in instead of hard wiring it. Have it next in line after the main breaker and everything downsteam from there.

Yep! Need that third line going back to your main ground lug. Usually green or bare here.

The new plug for the charger, is it to be GFCI? Doesn't have to be just one of my pet likes.

I'd try to put the galley and cabin outlets on separate circuits. Why? because you never know what you are going to plug into one of them. You may need to plug in one of those 12V heaters which will pull down some big time amps. If you have them wired separately, it will essentially double your current capacity to that outlet.

I thought I saw the schematics set up for wiring the TD without a battery/charger -- was I dreaming 'cause I can't find it now? Can anyone point me in the right way?
