If you want some privacy, while using a public campground, a tuba placed on your picnic table will keep the campsites on either side vacant.

or maybe screaming at anyone getting ready to pull in at the site next to you " WATCH OUT ! YOU ALMOST RAN OVER MY LITTLE ALIEN FRIEND AND HIS LEPRECHAUN!! " ..... of course , with a wild wide eyed look in your eye and deathly serious!!!

If that doesn't make them run, then look to the space to your left and yell " Stop screaming you know he won't hear you! Now finishing setting up your tent "

I find standing around with aluminum foil wrapped around your head helps. If you can get the rabbit ears off the TV and stick them through your "hat" it adds to the effect.

Just stake up a bunch of crime scene tape with a body either under or hanging out of the trailer. Do not forget to put a bunch of little number tags in the neighboring sites

Oh, you guys...I needed that laugh today!
I used to tent camp with two little boys (my oldest two nephews) when they were 3 and 6 years old. We camped together for about six years; the last time we went out they were 9 and 12. All of that time I had five dogs. We set up our compact little 3 person dome tent, and the beach cabana I used for the dog crates...and it either brought every dog lover in the area out of the woodwork (party, party, party) or we had a couple sites free on either side of us. Either way--no harm, no foul. I was so worried how other campers would react that the first time we went out, when they were really little, I went to a local area where horse trekkers go to trail ride. I figured people camping with a string of horses in tow wouldn't give a hoot about little kids and lots of dogs, and I was right.

But now that I'm down to two dogs and the kids are grown, I'm gonna keep some tinfoil and rabbit ears in my teardrop just in case...

Rick, at last years LCG, Julie had bodies lying in and around her campsite...and won an award for it. So that might not be the best of ideas......

Dang! :o that is a long time to camp!!!
It sounds more like kidnaping.....I think I would have given up on the ransom before 6 years had passed.

You can duplicate the warmth of a down-filled bedroll
by climbing into a plastic garbage bag with several geese.

once again, Backwoodsman...thanks for the :)
Some days, I read what I've typed and it's hard to believe I get paid to write stuff.

The boys were both home the last couple days, and they've turned into two young men I'm proud to introduce as my nephews...so I guess the 'kidnapping' worked out okay. ;)
