This is going to be difficult cause to sit in there I have to allow for a floor (not installed yet) and the mattress. For those that have installed them how far down from the ceiling is it?

Del...it's kind of up to you...got long arms...you can go higher...I figure that I want to be able to reach into them without having to sit up in bed...I put a trolley top in my tear, and had to think about that for the overhead light...It added another 6" to the height in the center, so put the light towards the front end as it tapers down...I just sort of winged it however...hope I can reach!! Doug

hi ho hi ho of to fiberglass I go.

Three questions.
1. How thick should this fiberglass be so the shape is retained?
2. Should I put a brace at the bottom, like the curved one at the top.
3. How did my shelf issue become a lighting issue? sorry no clapper.

Yesterday, too cold (wind), took nap instead and went shopping.

Today; installed more bracing for the door, and fixed my brothers volvos headlights (darned butt connectors).

I think the hinge spar needs a couple more braces to spread the force forward? Note trim the patch panel before putting it on the bottom.

Is all your trying to do is protect the wood on the out side ?why do you need to glass the inside other than tie the spares together what tipe of glass are you useing on the out side

Wow! That is a truly spectacular trailer. I think there's quite a few people who might not see it here, so I'll start a new thread for it.

My trailer is rounded in at the bottom, if you look at my avitar it is different. If I am seeing it right there is one very small window in the nose, not what I would want to sleep in (maybe it's just me). Very cute trailer though.

Today I continued work on fiberglassing the inside of the same door I have been working on for a while now. This work goes slow, or maybe I am slow, or both. Pics in gallery.
When my back said no more I went out and installed one subaru bumper and hitch.

Worked on more fiberglass and the two braces that enable me to cut off the top of the hinge spar. One of those is the shelf brace, which I made 7" from the ceiling.

The wind kicked up and I stopped fiberglassing.

Side A glassed, tomorrow turn over and glass side B.

Sanding to come after it has cured, first more glass on other side (hopefully will not take as long).
