Concealed TV antenna

Postby Rickxr2 » Sat Apr 21, 2007 6:21 am

Has anyone used this tv antenna? It mounts between the roof and headliner of a vehicle. It would be nice to mount it under the skin of a teardrop. Made by the people that make the boomerang.

Most tv antennas are directional... I doubt this would give any better reception than rabbit ears... They do have some for r/vs that fold down onto the roof the do work well.. they come with an amplifier.. but are kind of big for a teardrop trailer.. they can be rotated from inside.

A few have tried rabbit ears and antenna's similar to your questioned item,
however a good Omni-directional antenna like the HA0130
seems to work well.

• Opens and closes like an umbrella, stores inside weatherproof tube
• VHF/UHF/FM travel antenna picks up stations in all directions without rotator
This unit is for the outside of your rig and is approximately 4' long.

Hi,

I tried a similar one...same thing, home made.
Put it between the two layers of roofing on my trailer.

Works, but rabbit ears work better...
