I've made a few of those little alcohol stoves... They work pretty good
for heating a cup of coffee or soup. Not so good for really cooking.
There are a lot of variations on the theme out there...

cool stove. i would have never thought of using heet. i have a little stove that folds and uses those little fuel bars i got from the local surplus store. very cheap and you could use any kind of solid fuel you could find.

I think you got the Christmas spirit. Spot on. I like the message, it just makes me sad. Might just stir a little serious thought about our American religion of consumerism.
