Learned to drive in an early 70's 3/4 ton Ford pickup, 4x4 with a 4 speed when I was about 11. Couldn't reach the pedals for $hit I had to crawl up in the damn thing but I could pull a trailer and back it up if necessary (the truck & trailer). First car was a 70 Galaxie 500 but the first one I actually had street legal was a 71 Plymouth Valiant with a 225 slant six and a 3 speed on the floor. In retrospect I guess I should have registered the Galaxie, can't remember why I didn't.

Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take a butt kickin'.
