I got mine at Harbor freight for 59.00 but saw a sale for 29.00 a couple of weeks ago.

I just received a sale catalog from MCM Electronics this week. It has a Raytek Minitemp on sale for 29.95. Specs are 0-525 degrees F with accuracy plus or minus 3 degrees.

Item number 58-12050
Catalog Number711R24 (source code, they always ask)
Telephone number 800-543-4330

The ad says suggested retail list at $79.95.

I have bought a lot of electronic components from MCM over the past 10 years and have always been very satisfied with the service, delivery, and quality of what I have bought. In addition to components, I have bought Multimeters, and other instruments. I just ordered a Raytek a few minutes ago because they said this buyout sale had limited quantities and I have found in the past that when they say limited quantities, I better buy in a few days or they will be gone. Now that I have locked in delivery of my Thermometer, I will share the source with the rest of you.

What ever you end up with it's a great tool. I've used it a parties to see who's HOT and who's NOT (just for fun) :R . People get a kick out of temperature of things.

Mostly (what I bought if for) I use it on my cast iron to see if I'm at the right temperature.

It solved the "soggy" waffle problem. :applause: The "new and improved" chrispy ones are a lot better and are more like what I was shooting for. :applause:

I use mine for the hot bunz contest at the bar. What can I say? Maybe I am a dirty old man.
I know its the photographer, and not the camera. I'll keep shooting with a Pentax. Just in case.
