Wow, I've never seen your garage so clean!!! How about some photos? ;) Don't forget a photo of the taillights. I'm looking forward to seeing those!!!

The interior is not really "pink" must be a trick from the camera!! :roll:

Thanx! It's a bit of tense work cutting it out, but, the rest is not that tough. The first one took about three weeks of head scratching. :x .This one, a Saturday.. ;)

After an early-morning call to Grant for advice,(sorry, I forgot about the time difference) I got the fenders mounted Saturday. I finished up the rough-in of the running lights today, I'll get the rest done tomorrow...Then she's ready to roll out to Michigan.
Mike and Michelle will be here on Friday for a drive-way campout, then, on the road.
I forgot to get a shot of the fenders, I'll drag her out in the sun tomorrow for some long shots...supposed to be sunny 'till Wed.
Mike, Here's your tail-lights!! :thumbsup:

I ran the wiring in the frame, No wires are exposed. All splices are soldered, and wrapped in heat-shrink tube.The plastic tubing barely seen in the hole is a forced fit in the hole in the frame to prevent the cable from chafing.

It's all coming together isn't it... Those taillights add a trendy look to the retro style teardrop... Looking forward to seeing the picture of the fenders mounted...

Hey it sounds like a real driveway campout... no heat... no electric... no nothing... just the cold hard plywood and us!!! We probably should bring some feathers, eh? :lol:

I'll get a shot of the 'Diner in the driveway tomorrow. You'll like the look..As you mentioned, everything looks sort-of fifties-sixties retro. I really like the look!!
Me thinks that I'll join ya in the driveway! We can park the Tears in the yard and pretend we're at a Teardrop gathering!! We even have mosquitoes!! 8) 8)

Mike,
I like those tailights, they seem very low profile.
I'm not planning on having a rear bumper, unless California say s I have to.
A low profile tailight like that would be a good way for me to go.
Are those LED?

Looking at the different colored woods, in proportion to the door, the window and the porch light, it's as if you planned it that way. And if you did you are the master craftsman and designer... I am in awe!!! I am well pleased to be receiving such a masterpiece from you!

Shall I bring the "sword of Mars" also? You realize I have to steal it from Aetius, the last general of the Roman army! :lol: (ref: The Scourge of God by William Dietrich)

P.S. One of your shots showed the hatch open. Do you have a photo looking into the galley?
