It's sure sad to say that the quality in the older coleman equipment makes the newer stuff look sorry!! If you can get the older stuff you are sure better off.

I've got a 413E 2 burner copper colored tank, thats been in the family since I can remember and a 426B 3 burner that was given to me. I also have a 2 mantled lantern that I didn't think was that old, bought it new. Still rides in the original box, and saw that it was dated 1975 bought from Woolco, bought out by K-Mart. I guess I'm getting old. Is there a web site to date these stoves? I found a couple, but no production dates were given. Doug

I found the sites when I was trying to date my Coleman 426, 3 burner stove I purchased for $8. I found out it was from 1949-1950. I was told it was worth $50-100.

Thanks for the link...I love the older stoves. Nothing reminds me more of camping than the smell of a white gas stove lighting up, with the exception of a burp when it floods out. Doug

Bob, www.oldcolemanparts.com, has a lot of stuff and is a great guy to deal with. I ordered some mantles from him and he personally delivered them from his home (either in Wash. or Ore.) to my home in Simi Valley, Calif. (a thousand mile drive) for free! He happened to be in the area, ha.

We had a nice visit when he delivered the mantles.
