Is it a model 06?

It will be marked just below the knob on the left side of the coupler body as you are standing in front of the trailer.

Gage, you need one also, or you want 48 CJ'S old one?
Sounds like you're tring to outbid him?

A member of the G503 told me about this site so I thought I might make a post and then checkout the site while I waited to hear back.

I'm just learning about the Tear Drops but here is a simular style (homebuilt) one I saw year before last at a tractor show.

Wow, 48Rob is this yours? Just looked at your website.

Yep, I need one also. Outbid? I think you have me mixed up with someone else. I wish I was bidding on one, it would be mine.

This is an original NOS Fulton Model 06 coupler.
The model 06 is designed to bolt to, or be welded on to a 2-1/4" O.D. pipe or tube.

The last two pictures show the coupler disassembled.
They are easy to adjust/use.
They are light to medium duty.

Gage,

The reason you got "jumped" was because of the way you worded your post.

Suggesting that if anyone had a spare coupler they should let you know/sell it to you first was insulting at best to the man who originally posted looking for one.

That he was new to the board should have been reason to welcome him to the world of teardrops, not try to run him off.

He requested a trailer part, on a trailer discussion board, on the wanted/for sale page.

So, now with that out of the way, to answer your PM'd question, the model 06 Coupler accepts a 1-7/8" ball (the 2-1/4" measurement is for the pipe/tongue the coupler bolts/welds to.

The two styles are slightly different as you've pointed out, with one having the bolt permanantly attached to the large knob, and the other being separate.
While I can't promise as I don't have one of each to compare, I'd guess the "guts" are interchangeable.

You're welcome Gage. :)

If I decide to sell the coupler I'll let you and CJ48 know.

Rob,

That is the nicest looking "Fulton Coupler" I think I've ever seen.

I have an NOS Speedmaster Coupler but has some shelf wear and rust:

Image

I went out and looked at my hitch...it is identical to yours with the exception I do not have any hardware so not sure of the knob/bolt orientation.

If you do decide to part with the little jewel, please let me know.

If it is ok I'd like to copy your pictures for reference and use it on my Bantam T3-C site link and will give you credit.

Was the Woody Trailer I posted above in Rantoul at the tractor show yours?
