Thanks for the kind words. I really wanted to go. Because of my long recovery so far everything has backed up. So what use to take me 2 hours to do now takes all day. I have an appointment with a specialist in 10 days. I will do what ever I can to avoid surgery. Part of that is not trying to do to much to fast. The weather sounds like it should be perfect for the weekend. I hope ya'll have a nice time. I am in for the Cooler by the Lake 2009. So worse case I'll see you all there.

Steve take good care of that back. It is tough when just getting around hurts.
Looks like the weather will accommidate us on the weekend! Days in the low 70s and 50s at night. Great camping weather!

Hey Jim and Lori -

Any thoughts on the kayaks ? I could go either way - if the boat stays home , the bike will make the trip instead . . . the bike path sounds good too.

Also, should I plan for a pot luck ?

Inquiring minds need to know . . . :D

I'm leaving the kayaks at home this time. I'm trying to sneak out of work a bit early on fri., so it won't look good to be showing up with kayaks on the roof. I have a longer drive this time , so I won't have much time for kayaking anyway.

cook out

Postby tjx » Wed Sep 03, 2008 8:14 pm

The bike path to the south is the best....but is also nice to ride up to Riverview.

Saturday night Jerry is cooking a roast on the spit over the fire if it isn't raining and I know Darrell was planning a dish and/or desert to share. Anyone is welcome to join in. :)

Looks like it will be a nice weekend, hope you all have a great outing by the Mighty Miss. 8)

I'm off on my first official camping trip in the Lil' Guy up to Viking country.
Going on an annual metal detecting trip of Minn. lakes. Hoping to meet up and camp with TPM on Sunday since I'll be right in his backyard.

Duke:
Glad to hear you're back on the road again. Good luck up in MN. I'll expect to see more gold at CI-CO.

Hope everyone arrives safe tonight....hoping for nice weather!

Randy....just forgot to let you know the Savanna-Sabula bridge is closed.
Sorry for the last minute warning :(
They just closed it for a month....

Just got home from the gathering...what a great time! Couldn't have asked for a better location or weather!

4 states represented...A total of 15 people, 5 dogs, 2 puppies, 11 teardrops (3 homebuilts, 1 in-progress revamped homebuilt, and 7 manufactured from 3 different manufacturers).

Some really great times with great people! Looking forward to seeing you in a couple weeks at CI-CO (wish you could join us, Randy!)

Thanks again, Tina & Jerry!

Got home last nite at 7:45 Had a great time Super weather, food and met some more great teardroppers. The drive was very relaxing, too.
Betsy Wish I could make it but too many things going on. I have been helping tear down an old barn. Just came from there. I really feel like a slacker after seeing what the guy got done whilw I was gone. The camping was worth it though. I needed the time away.
