I have a friend that lives in Wichita ... just sent him an email to see what he knows about it.

I looked at some different dates to book for weekends this summer, putting in a Thursday arrival date and looks like they are pretty much all booked up! Either means that 's a popular park or it's just the only place for people to go to get outta town! haha
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

I live about 20 miles away from Marion reservoir and have tent camped there several times. We were just out at Cottonwood Point two weekends ago for some boating and bbq with some friends. Pretty descent place with some camp spots with great views of the lake. Also, Marion "Lake" is a smaller lake located about 5 miles further East and South of the reservoir. Both lakes have good fishing and clean facilities.
