Hello Amy,
It will be great to meet you at this up comming gathering.
I hope you have fun. If you need any help setting up any of your supplies (tent and what not) I will be able to help. I will stand out, trust me...so you will be able to find me. (hopefully I stand out for a good reason, but, you never know).

Any ways, Welcome.

Dianne

P.S.
Some people here might dispute whether or not I can put up a tent, but that is eather here nor there...different story all together.

Ok sorry to say, but Im not gonna be able to make it to this gathering. I have to save all the money I can so I can move in October. My orginal plan was to move in March. With saving money for moving, I cant buy everything I need to go camping.

Thanks for the warm welcome and hopefully I can come to gatherings next year, or later this year.

Thanks
Amy

Amy,

You already have the tent...everything else can be improvised or borrowed. Having been avid campers for 40ish years, we have more camping gear than anyone needs. Bring the tent, borrow a sleeping bag (we have several) or bring blanket/sheet/quilt/pillow...we can supply you with an air mattress, flashlight, lantern, camp chair, etc. Heck, I'd even be more than happy to pass along some of our dishes/utensils from tent camping days (we seem to have multiple sets of everything)...less stuff I have to worry about.

We really want you to join us and this gathering is a perfect one for you to come, gather information, meet lots of fun people, get your questions answered, have a great time...we can help it happen for you and would love to!

friday

Postby tjx » Sun Aug 30, 2009 10:06 am

Hope everyone is getting ready for the campout. :applause:
It'll be here before we know it. Jerry and I drove through the park
last night checking things out. They are allowing us to bring our firewood from home again, so we should have plenty of wood to use.

We were wondering if anyone was interested in having social hour on Friday night....not that we wouldn't anyways...but have those who want bring a bottle of wine representing your area or some special brews from your area, along with an appetizer or two. We have a couple of nice wineries close by that we will bring a bottle from.

Lori and Jim - no I won't do as in Sterling.....LOL! :(

What type of table is that and where might I find one.

The Deepest spot in Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes is 1,333 feet or about 222 fathoms. This profound depth could easily contain the entire 1,250' Empire State Building, even with a 50-foot-tall King Kong perched atop.

We were just talking about TBR 2! Planning on leaving around 3:30 Friday so we can be there at a reasonable time (No football game to go to this year). I'll whip up some appetizers to bring along. Looking forward to this!

I can't remember the brand name but it was a Green Bay Packer tailgate table sold at a local Farm and Fleet store. Sorry I can't be of more help, but I purchased it several years ago and I have trouble remembering what I had for breakfast today!!
