Major earthquake 6.5 In Eureka, Ca.

Postby Kevin A » Sat Jan 09, 2010 8:01 pm

We just had a biggie, broken glass and such of shelves but no major structural damage that I know of. We're all ok here so far. Will update soon.

:o Glad you're okay and hope everyone else is too.

No backing out of IRG 3.0 now everyone. This is just a "California thing".

It isn't on the FoxNews website yet, so I guess it didn't really happen.

Sorry for the gallows humor. 6.5 is a pretty good one. I hope everyone is okay. But it is interesting that than none of the 24-hour news sites has it, yet. I guess Jon and Kate were not involved.

Aw, and I thought it was a herd of Elephants passing through. Heck it was only a 6.5 and 26+ miles from you. But let me ask, Did it get your attention? ;)

P.S. I just posted in the Gen. section for Dean.
Only a Southern California boy can ask a stupid question like that.

We felt it in Cave Junction. All the hanging lamps and things were swinging.

I am less than 10 miles from Ferndale. My house really shook and it seemed to last. Lots of things came down from the walls and bookshelves. A mess to pick up but nothing serious

Just heard about the earth quake and immediately thought of our "TD FAMILY" out there. Is everyone o.k.? I don't understand why the news people don't check on you and let us back here know something. Guess they just aren't as worried about you as I am. Keep us posted.

Yea, but look at it this way Dean. It could be for some good fast money. Take a leave of absence and double your income replacing windows, big windows. ;)

I take it Dean was able to miss all the cascading cast iron

Been there and felt it, glad everyone is okay.

Just heard about the earthquake!

First thing I thought about was our TD friends in that part of the country. I knew I would find the news here.

Glad to hear everyone is ok and nothing too serious.

Earthquakes are definitely an experience and fortunately I've never been in a big one.
Martha ;)
