OOPS !

The 30% rain is now 60% on Friday
:rainy:

but LOOK at Saturday and Sunday :ok:

A look back at rainy weather.

Our ( wife and I ) very 1st big gathering was a Brown County spring of 08 That Friday night weather was windy but nice about 1:30 a thunderstorm rolled thru and I sat up watching the lightning thru the see thru roof. Morning was clear and clean and the weekend was great.

Spring of 09 at Raccoon Lake the storms rolled thru about 8 pm and we were lucky enough to have a large 10 x 20 canopy in place and very well secured against the wind. About 20 of us partied on thru the rain. It looked like a scene from Woodstock muddy wet and barefooted in the river of mud we had a great time despite the rain and once again Sat and Sunday were beautiful.

Friday night at Lake Summit at our fall 09 gathering the weather was a raw bone chilling cold with rain and several of the neighboring campers congragated in my 10 x 10 pop up and we simply stood or sat around and visited. It really and truely was one of the best campside moments Vic and I have had. Driven together by the weather , we took time to really get to know one another and swap lies and tall tales. So sometimes a little inclement weather is a big plus. At the moment it is an inconvenience but on the look back it created a really wonderful few hours in our camping career.

Just like the post office "neither rain ,nor sleet ,nor snow shall keep us from campin'

See ya all tomorrow :campfire:

The Deepest spot in Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes is 1,333 feet or about 222 fathoms. This profound depth could easily contain the entire 1,250' Empire State Building, even with a 50-foot-tall King Kong perched atop.

Great! Just in case we don't make it, go ahead and pass ours on to Alan & Carie in the T@B. They're camping in our front yard race weekend, so we'll get it then, just in case this weekend doesn't happen for us. Thanks!

Yes they did, I'll be bringing them with me to the gathering and holding them hostage

Just joined the forum. I have watched this forum for a long time but have never posted. Have been to the last couple of Shivarees, but I'm looking forward to doing some nice weather (hopefully) camping. I have booked slot no. 80. I think this will be fun.

:applause: Yes I'm glad to say I'm part of such a wonderful group we just keep growing. I may be bragging but we might be one of the faster growing groups. Must be our super pitch-ins that keeps them coming.

Karl and I got in yesterday, Kurt showed up today...what is everyone waiting for! :campfire:

Rob ;)

PS. overcast and pleasant today, little rainy tomorrow, then warm and sunny!
Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...

Nope 39 but so close and you never know we sometimes get people showing up that we didn't even expect. We'll get a good count over the weekend
