12-Volt Blender

Postby TomS » Mon Jan 09, 2006 10:17 pm

I was browsing Cabela's web site and found this 12-Volt blender.

Has anyone tried this or a similar blender. Do you think it has enough oomph to grind up ice for frozen drinks?

Nice but I think the one Kevin shows will definitly do the job. I do a lot of jeeping and we make are own from a small 12 volt import starter motor. You take the starter drive off the shaft, cut the shaft short and grind it square. Find an old blender top at a garage sale or thrift store and it will chop ice like crazy. 8)

It's a Molcajete. I had to look up how to spell it though.

Kevin, I think if we're going gas powered, we should get at least a gallon size picture for it. :tipsy:

Might just have to order one of those, that's pretty slick.

Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do to get that first cup... :shhh:

Hey Kev,
My buddy builds those things using weed wacker motors...'cept he tweaks the motors real good and puts a tuned pipe on 'em.
They shoot ice about 15-20' in the air if you forget to put the lid on...
I'll see if I can bring one to the IRG.
