Texas Burn Ban Map

Postby caseydog » Thu Apr 14, 2011 11:01 am

The Texas Forrest Service has a map that is updated daily for burn bans in Texas. It is a great resource for campers and outdoor cookers...

Considering the source, you'd thought they would have found a way to work in a some maroon on the map.

 Gig'em!

Red, the color of "hot," and black, the color of burnt stuff.

Go Mean Green!

I can't believe so many counties are still under a Burn Ban after all the rain here.

Saw where Kemp, TX cut off water to their population of 1100. We found on our last outing that even though couldn't burn still could do charcoal, but that seemed to vary from park to park.

100 even now and we're in the cool part of the state it seems. lol

Kemp is just a few miles north of us. They cut the water off for 48 hours to refill the water tower. It seems that they could not filter water fast enough To meet the demand.

What's up with the NE corner of Jack county?
Looks like Percinct 2 Judge must be asleep...
