MeelisV Tear DIY compressor ref.

foreword - it is text from estonian guy - sorry about grammar :)

buid journal ? OK
build starts from idea - idea is in mind long time ago. (the first tear was not ready jet but idea for next one was there)
next stage - plan - that stage is going right now and finish is near.

wher am i ?

my idea is build next teardrop because old one is´nt anymore "healthy"
the plywood skin is in bad shape and ... i´m smarter now and i see in my mind something with better planning and built quality product 8)

my plan is build new cabin to old tear frame.

i had a meeting with draftsman - and after 1,5 hour we got blueprints for new tear frame wall (or how you call it)
my plan is make new cabin walls and roof like sandwich frame will be aluminium tubing 20x20x2 mm its then like 0,79x0,79x0,08 inch or like around 4/5x4/5x 4/50 or ? what ever to me there is millimeters

outside skin will be "vekaplan" http://www.vekaplan.de/vekaplan/divers/ ... plan_s.htm type pvc rivet to frame and final layer is aluminim sheet glued to pvc

new cabin shape and layout will be same like old one is

classic finn says that he may find me hurricane hinge and only thing´s now i have to visulize and plan is door´s.

i found company who make me whole framework - transport, cuting, bending, welding, grinding ... i dont have own welder to weld aluminium
and i cant bend square tube in home.
my job is the all fabrication besides frame welding.

and one thing i have to find is glue - how to bond pvc and aluminium.

there is some idead more but i think i will tell you later what wher how and why - with pics. - its simpler to me show then write.

hope there is soon next post in this thread from me with pics about frame work.

old tear pics - not later ones is in my album

Do overs give us the wisdom of finding out what didn't work and making it better. I will also be following this with interest! :)

tubing is 20x20x2 mm aluminium
its then ~0,8x0,8x0,08 inch ? or 4/5x4/5 inch ?

MIG or TIG welded?
We are having the tongue reinforced on our aluminum frame trailer, way too much flex and the first model failed catastrophically.
