Dinosaur Valley State Park, Sept. 23&24

Postby Woodyperk6 » Fri May 20, 2011 8:23 am

Us and Bperkins86 have made reservations for 9-23 & 9-24. This park only has 46 campsites and fills up quickly. If anyone would like to join us that weekend it wouldn't hurt to make reservations as soon as possible.

I've been wanting to camp there for a while, I visited once and it was fun, and lots of good views from the hilltop. I can't commit to anything right now until I see if I will even own a camper at that time, so we'll see!

When I went there with a girlfriend, we visited some of the caverns that were around there too. I enjoyed that too.

Thanks for the heads up, when i was working I traveled to Glen Rose at least once a month, loved Glen Rose almost as much as Grandbury.
Please don'y tell me you are getting rid of your Teardrop, I have only been to one gathering and you were not there, however I have read lots of your posta and looked at photos of your teardrop, and it is super nice. :(

Harold, you are correct. Dinosaur Valley SP is just outside of Glen Rose. They do have hook-ups. Hope you will be able to join us.

If you can't make it down for that weekend a bunch of us will be camping at Loyd Park on Joe Pool Lake two weeks before that. There will also be some folks from Amarillo that you already know. We have a extra spot already reserved should you need it at Loyd park.

We'll see you at Caprock Canyon SP next month.

If you go to Glen Rose, get in early enough to visit Fossil Rim.

It's well worth the $ of admission.

Since I am doing Loyd Park in Sept, I am going to pass on this one and get exhaust put on the Monte Carlo, but I just booked Mineral Wells for Nov! Camping once a month starting Sept is a step up for me!

GREAT! We will be there!
Who would like to go to Fossil Rim on Saturday. I will try to get some discounted tickets. We went years ago and would really be fun going together.

Cool! That's four of us so far.

Fossil Rim might be fun. We are interested.
