Great Woody, I might have to bring the tear down on Thursday and get it set up early.

One of our Asst. Chiefs died last night and the funeral is on Friday. I'm on the Honor Guard so I have to be there. I won't be able to get there until later on Friday and I want everything to be set up so Cindi can come down mid day on Friday and not have to mess with anything. I just wanted someone to watch over the tear Thursday night.

What do I tell them on Thursday when I get there? I know I will have to pay for the extra night.

Hello Mark, we will be glad to watch over your TD. They will charge you $18 for the campsite for Thursday night. I will talk to them & see if they will waive the vehicle fee since you will only be dropping off the trailer. You will be able to set up in the group area on Thursday, I checked on that last week.

I'll let you know what I find out.

I have the day off Friday, but plan on putting in a full day working on personal projects, then retiring to the park in the afternoon/evening Friday. I was gonna do a one nighter on Sat, but the weather is making me want to start the season with a full weekend.

It ain't sexy, but it's air conditioned! (The exterior door locks into the open position....)

Heat?? Bring it!!! (OK please don't, I was just kidding)

Tomorrow I am actually going to flip it where the AC is on top because it is easier to grab and move around that way from inside.

Maybe I'll paint the paneling white to match the outside too... hmm....

******BURN BAN********

Postby BPerkins86 » Thu Sep 08, 2011 3:36 pm

Howdy everyone,
My dad, WoodyPerk6, arrived at the park earlier today and was informed that the Tarrant County Fire Marshall declared the park under a burn ban this morning due to a fire in the park. Charcoal fires in the grills are still okay, however we cannot have actual campfires, so leave your firewood at home. I hope this is not to late of a notice for y'all. Looking forward to seeing everyone there this weekend.

Probably didn't have anything to do with a campfire getting put of control at all either... Thanks for letting us know tho! Last year we sat at the pavilion which had good lighting so that should be a decent alternative, and at least we have that. Bring the cards and dominoes...

Postby CASHCOW » Sun Sep 11, 2011 7:02 pm

CASHCOW rolled in at about 6:30. had a good drive home. Thanks to Woody and Tammy for making arrangements for an awesome gathering. Mike, Sam and myself had a wonderful time catching up with everyone. Great fellowship and lots of food as usual.
