Awenda P.P. Spring 2012

Postby whitby guy » Fri Jan 06, 2012 10:00 am

Hi all:
Booked into Awenda provincial park (north of Barrie) for May 11 through 13 (Friday night and Saturday night), leaving Sunday (mother's day).
I'm in Wolf Campground site #227. Hope some of the Ontario (oops...Central Canada ;) ) group can make it

They must be pretty tiny bows, or them turkeys would be dragging them on the ground all the time...

Set to see you in August for sure, maybe somewhere else over the summer.

Just wondering if anyone else might be coming to Sandy's invite of Awenda Prov Park May 11&12 ... still spots available on Wolf camp ground last time I checked ... would be great to meet some of you in person! :)

The Sens are still in the playoffs and it's looking like the Rangers are getting an early end of season courtesy of Ottawa, I can't go. Sometimes I wish I were a Leafs or Habs fan. It would free my spring up more.

Jenn - I don't think we are in a radio free zone ... maybe the game will be carried on the radio (?) What could be nicer - camping, firelight and play by play of the nation's favourite game - just trying to help you think out of the box! :D

Hey, John! Nice to hear you are coming. It will be good to see you again! ... yes, definitely bring the kayak (maybe a toque and gloves for backup  ) Today feels like we've skipped summer entirely and gone back to late fall weather ... but we still have 3 weeks for mother nature to warm back up again.

Jawbone - sorry to hear that you are suffering back pains. It does make it a challenge getting in and out of the teardrop - one of the reasons MountainBiker decided we needed to change to the A-liner.

Anyone else out there willing to join us?
