Got the trailer wiring finished today. Yay! Hooked it up to the motorcycle and went and got her weighed, official weight 180lbs. I came in under what my goal was. That is with a 1 1/2" memory foam mattress topper inside as well. Some extras I will have with me that weren't part of the official weight, spare tire, solar vent in roof and I am going to weld on a small foot to the stand. She tows great... funny thing at low speeds it bounces quite a bit but on the highway very smooth and sticks to the road very well.
Things I still need to do to finish it for my trip.
1. The four bolts into the side of the body, I want to remove and epoxy them in. I'm just afraid they might vibrate out.
2. Install solar roof vent
3. Weld foot to propstand
4. Add one more bolt to front of frame to body floor
5. Add a small inlet PVC elbow to rear of trailer for fresh air exhaust or intake depending on how the fan is running
Once these things are done I will post a few more pics with the bike.
Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.
