ok I am tagging in here so as not to start a similar thread
I scored at Goodwill again Halco dimmable mr16 flood LED lamps. Range is 10 to 18 volts DC shows 4.5 watts 200 lumens 2700 K white light GU 5.3 base
I want them for the caboose as down lighting.
They had 23 of them @ 99 cents. I bought one today to look over. I do not see a positive negative difference to the prongs. They are identical length and identical diameter. OH the best part the remaining 22 lamps will be 69 cents tomorrow ( Ol farts day)
Is a dropping resistor needed to run the lamps ? Anyway to predetermine the pos/neg lead ? Should I just hook them up and experiment which way is brighter?
Do I dim them by simply reducing the voltage ?
I'll take a picture tomorrow !
