So another quick update no pictures at this time as I forgot my phone ...plus I'd rather show a finihed product anyways....I went to Al's shop today like I do most days....mygarage s rty full..anyone want t but a boat? So not a major project but still a project Iwent over to work on my table top but after mixing sawdust and glue and filling holes I was pretty much done...so I started to look around for another thing to do...ok some back story now...I live in a very small town under 500 people and on of our local store is closing down and trying to sell off everything so I saw this post card holder in there the other day and after talking to the store owner I picked it up for $5.00 not sure what I was going to do with it but I knew I wanted it....so after a few liquid assistant infusions I thought I could turn that into a salt and pepper holder so that's what I did I sanded it all down today after removing about 15 years worth of dust drilled a toothpick hole...then sanded some more all by hand as it was such a tight space no tools would of fit...I then made up a little stand for it to sit on that will hold forks knifes and spoons and napkins in the front it will require a bit more sanding for the base some staining and routering...not necessarily that order bt you get the idea....I'll try and get some pictures of it tomorrow.....
Thanks for following my build hope to hear from you with any questions or comments

Thought I'd start off with some pictures of the side project that I did as I was starting to get frustrated with my table so I took a detour and now I'm back at work on the table again when finished I'll have pictures of that as well

Thanks for following my build thread

No I wish I could it was actually a post card holder from this store that was closing down it's been there for 15 years or more I bought it for 5 bucks drilled a hole in the center for tooth picks and stained the antlers nose and hooves then built the box that it's one and mounted it all together as a finishing touch I used a wacco product (that stuff smells bad) to seal it all

So it has been a while since I last did an update
Life has been good for me but not so much for my vehicles ...So they are in the shop cutting into my budget seems that kinda happens to everybody at some point...oh well such is life...ok ok enough of me and on with the pictures

and

so here is my table after 5 coats of tung oil I plan on putting on a few more as I would like it to be super shiny as well as thoroughly sealed from any possible moisture, as for what is going inside of the table I have purchased 3 small wicker type of baskets that will match the colors of my table...I have been working on some more plans for my trailer as I have come to the conclusion that when it comes time for the walls they will go up quickly (I'll try and document that when the time comes)
So since I'm having vehicle problems been thinking that I might need my other truck to haul this particular trailer if I do that I wont be able to go off road with it but I can build it bigger...So that is a possible idea as well
I'd just like to thank all those that have been following my build thread and if you have any questions or comments please feel free to ask...Thank you

Oh and happy holidays to all

Oh I hope so so much to squeeze in such a small space but hey if I use my F150 as the to vehicle then I'm golden I can make it somewhat heaver then initially planed and I'll do a smaller weekend bed house trailer like my initial posting for my Tracker to pull into the fishing spots but as I would like to work on the extended camping for right now I guess bigger is better for my situation but when I get some more work done as we were discussing tonight about how to build my bar that I ant for the tiny house so have to take some measurements and a few of the pieces that are going to go into it and the start building that I'll definitely have to get some pictures of to share with everyone....Again Thanks for following my build thread hope it is as enjoyable as all the others that I have been reading up on

So happy today I got the glass bottles I want to use for my porch lights in today wasn't expecting them in so fast I'll try and post a picture later...
So I have been thinking more and more about my build and had a dream the other night of a narrow boat... would it be a good idea or a bad idea

Just thought I'd do a quick update for anybody that is following my build...
Here is my counter top after 11 coats of tung oil I thought I'd show a picture of what my plan is as space is limited I wanted to have some place to store my plates and bowls
Image
What do you think?
I also have been working on a porch light idea that would tie in my theme so I'm making it out of some alcohol bottles that I have acquired I'm going to order some led flash light inserts to shine down the bottles and run the wires up the neck mount and eventually through the trailer wall, since they are glass My thoughts are to make them removable so they will be less likely to shatter, while I'm traveling...was also considering maybe some small planter boxes, I'm not much of a gardener but I do appreciate fresh herbs ever now and then..
Well thanks for following my build thread

So as promised I thought I'd give a teaser of what my porch lights are going to look like
Image
and this is one that I light up using a cheap flashlight so you'd get the idea
Image
The plan so far is to get some 12 volt white Led's and to get a few red Led;s as I'd like to have the option of being able to switch between the two colors, the white ones will probably be on a dimmer s well

Thanks again for following my build I hope you enjoyed this idea
