So im just now checking out the idea of powering my camper. Right now i use a power strip for everything. So is wiring kinda like this....... you have your battery.... you run pos and neg to a fuse box....... at each fuse run wires to lights/ plugs?
Im very good at looking at something and figuring out how it works. Do any of you have one or a few pictures of your battery power system that i can make sence of? I would like a close up on the "fuse" box or what ever you use to spread out the power for each light/plug. Im wanting to use a battery and inverter system.

THANKS!
Im not lazy. I just hang out a lot.

Just check out the thread that Steve linked to. The wiring diagrams that Joanne made up are very easy to understand. It has pictures instead of symbols which makes it easy for someone not comfortable with electrical work.

nic,
i used joanne's basic wiring diagram for mine. with a few simple alterations. it was a MAJOR help. like you i can basically figure it out. my tear is strictly 12 volt with a small inverter for little things. i could not find a fuse block i liked so i went to a local auto salvage and pulled a fuse block out of a old nissan pickup. i disassembled it and connected a complete strip for neg on one side ran that to a grd post for all grd's. put it bac together then ran all my hot wires to all of the pigtails from the factory. uses the small fuses and not big either. cost, $3.00. powerered one side to the +side of the block and grounded the grd bus. works great and i shorted enough out o make sure all fuses works. cost of fuses blown during wiring. about $12.00. LOL.
