Pretty soon I'm going to have to make the sides of my camper. But I'm honest enough with myself to know that I wasn't very confident with a jigsaw yet so I decided to take a momentary detour from my teardrop construction (see the meatloaf build).
After building my floor I had some scrap plywood left over so I decided to find something to do with it that would give me a little airtime under the blade so to speak. I found a really cool pattern for a collapsible coffee table in the Aug 1978 popular mechanics. My wife and kids love this thing. I just thought that it would be nice to have under the canopy when we camp but the kids won't let me take it out of the living room.
This design is incredibly efficient. I built this table using only a 3' x 4' piece of wood.
If you have some plywood left over consider giving this a shot.
Cheers!
