Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Hello everyone, this is my first attempt at building a teardrop. I took a drawing from this site for the shape and am winging everything else. The sides were cut on my 48x48 inc router by using indexing pins for a total length of ten feet. It is a version of the modern cub which I think is the prettiest of all teardrops.

The supports for tongue and groove ceiling made from 1.5 inch beech.

Completed front spars. Not sure why but the picture makes the spars look warped. They are pretty straight in person.

Looking Great! About to start my first as well. Wish I had a steady hand like yours. Mine may come out a bit wavey but that adds character, right? haha

I think as I go. A lot of people plan way more than I do. I just can't work that way or I would never start.

Thank you. Good luck with your build. I am at an advantage because of my workspace and well appointed shop. Character is good! And by the way I didn't cut it out a computer did.

Wow, great pics, great shop and great shape for a teardrop. Your work space makes me want to go out and throw rocks at my little teardop-building enclosure. Hey, you even keep all of your clamps, neatly organized in their own wall rack. Nothing wrong with that, just had to admire the neatness of the whole place. Good for you, building what you want and sharing it with us. Now, keep us posted on the progress, as I look forward to seeing a one-of-a-kind special teardrop once it is finished and on the road.
