Slow, you are so right!!! We prefer camping in Nat'l Forests, BLM, COE or state parks. Costs for spot goes from $25-$0 depending. We spend most of our time outside, which is kind of the reason to do this. And yes, it is just crazy the number of gigantic, monster things that come rolling in and the complaints. I love reading the complaints...
"Oh, my directTV doesn't work"
"The tree branches scratched my paint"
"The road was too small for my 50' to go down"
"I could not fit my 38" camper and 1 ton pickup in the 25' long site"
"The location was too far off the interstate"
"Why can't I run my generator all night? IT is the forest services fault there is no electricity here"
Meanwhile my complaints about those things are numerous indeed...
I absolutely hate those stupid lights that get strung all around the giant camper and are left on all night. I feel like I'm in Times Square sometimes.
I don't need to see the "exterior" 60" television hanging outside your bus, blaring "wheel of fortune".
I learned to hate the song "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" due to a multi-night stint stuck between monster motorhomes in RMNP. Every freaking night they played it over and over.
You really brought a 8,000 contractor generator and those 300 watt halogen lights to fire up at a COE campground in Georgia?
Why did you let your grandkids, who were acting like a Mongol Horde, use the bathroom as a playroom?
You have the whole campground and for whatever reason you need to back that giant thing right next to me. Really?
I love driving by a KOA next to the interstate and seeing all those giant things sitting side by side, like a dealership parking lot and it only cost them like $60 per night. What a bargain.
