That's right. And if I lived closer I would come out and help you move things along! The build has been quite the journey but camping in her is beyond words. The satisfaction is indescribable.

Now that I have all the drawer/door fronts on, I thought I would post a couple pictures of the insides and how they are being used.

I may have posted something similar before, so if I tell the same story again, blame it on the Chemo brain...

Here's the inside of the closet. We can get a lot of clothes in here. More than I would have guessed. I am very happy with the decision to use cedar and the light comes on automatically with a pressure switch.



One of the best ideas we had, with full credit to my brother for this one, was the pull out pantry. I know for a fact we can get all the food for a week, for a family of four in this and the little fridge. Probably longer, just haven't done it yet!









When I was a kid, I grew up in the summers at our family lake cottage. All the dishes, glasses and flatware were mix-matched-hand-me-downs. I remember having a couple pieces of the Starburst Pattern flatware. They were my favorite. Come to find out, these were only available to purchase through Green Stamps. Anyone remember those? Anyway, I found the entire set, on Ebay, in almost the same way as Green Stamps, which was a piece here, a couple pieces there until I had found the entire set...





I love how the backlighting illuminates the drawers...

And finally, at that same summer place, my Grandmother had a piece of 1950's Hazel-Atlas Fantasy Glass that was a Space Boy. Again, I found the entire set, one by one on Ebay. This was the original inspiration for our entire Mid-Century motif...





I'll be honest. I enjoy hanging out in our build in the drive or sitting by the pond as much as I enjoy going somewhere. Whenever I step inside, I am transported back to another time...

Throw some beer in the fridge and you're set! You've really done a great job following your theme and your craftsmanship is over the top.

P.S. My hangers like to jump off the rod in transit, I use a rubber band over the hanger hook opening to keep them on.

Thank you Bruce! So far, we haven't had any jumpers! But if we do I'll know how to solve it!

Came across these handles, neighbor was getting rid of a cabinet. Not sure if you can use these or not. If so send me a PM and I will drop in the mail. Finish is chrome but in a pinch you could always sand them for a nickle sub.

Hey, thank you for thinking of us! Those look like nice vintage pieces! We finally have all our handles installed and won't be needing anymore. But thanks again for thinking of us.

It's fun to actually go camping rather than go building! Building tends to wear on you over time, but, man is it ever worth it! We went away this weekend, just Carrie and I, to celebrate her Birthday and Father's Day. We found a little, family-owned campground along the Tippecanoe River. Lots of good, down to earth folk.

The Astroliner tows like a dream. We did upgrade to 4500lb springs and heavy duty tires awhile back. I pull at 60-65 but a couple times I forgot she was there and was doing 70-75. I have to watch that.

Anyway, Happy Father's Day to all you Dads out there!

Looks like a great trip. But here's my question: How did you manage to have the tail and running lights on for the photo without being hitched up???

We managed to sneak out for a one-nighter this last week. I managed to almost catch this sunset.
